Through by community observation and study on Hygiene Sanitation in the community in Kompong Kdei commune,14 villages,the results showed That, Many household has no latrine to used, a lot of trash in the roads in villages, the environment around the house are not clean. Lack of clean water to use and drinking water in the family. So the people needs improves the knowledge on the hygiene and sanitation to change attitude and behaviour to do best practice in community to build latrine,handwashing station,and conduct village cleaning.
We have good communicated with communities leader to shows the results from study and seek supported from them to solving these issues. After shares results,many of community leaders agreement planned and supporting to community to form peer educators leader and capacity building to the peer education leaders in each village.
The community peer education leaders have received the training on hygiene sanitation from the technical health centres on health and hygiene promotion as the scheduled and topics: 1. Introduction 2. Objectives 3. Communicable disease 4. How to prevention 5. Planned and responsible 6. Others After trained the peer education has joined to developed plan and set up the groups in the community and schedule with community group to conducted event hygiene promotion by peer education in each group in their community by supported from village leader and commune council.
The community people active participatory action conducted hygiene promotion to reduce communicable disease such as diarrhoea, worm, and dengue fever and other diseases.
We are very happy with people participants to conducted health,and hygiene promotion activities to change theirs attitude, and theirs behaviours to prevents communicable diseases especially child preventing.
