Dear chessfans!
Yesterday our blockchain chess team fought for the last time this year in the "Lichess Liga Team Battle reloaded" and we gained the 7th rank in a close fight (the teams 4 to 7 were only apart by 2 points!). In this last battle we were again only 10 players, so it seems it is really a good time to have a summer break.
116 players from 10 teams, of an average rating of 2057 had participated. Topscorer from our team was again @mendelito (TheMadman4rmDaSouth), followed by @eniolw and @tangibleay. Congratulations!

Our team size was on average 15,5 players (ranging from 9 to 19), the most common results were 2nd, 5th and 7th place (3 times each) - not too bad!
4 times we raised up one liga, but 4 times we also were demoted down, so all in all we had ended up in the same liga where we have started. Of note, in 2023 we had started in liga 12 and ended (after 17 rounds) in liga 7 (check it out here), but of course it was much easier in those lower ligas back then 😀.
