OpenHive.Chat is powered by the very same software - Rocket.Chat We are not migrating accounts because we would like to have a fresh start. This allows us to use an integrated authentication system without complex and time consuming merging processes that most of the Steem.Chat users don't even want, need or care about.
While Steem.Chat these days is no longer as active as it used to be, it still has almost 90k registered accounts, delivering over 2,5k e-mails weekly. We will use it for preaching the good news about Hive.
