Diwali is popular vibrant festival of lights that celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the light of inner knowledge. It is a time for families to gather, exchange gifts, and celebrate with feasts and fireworks. People use it as a time to destroy negative thoughts and embrace inner peace. For many Indian, when it comes to celebrste the festival, it is all about Loghts and crackers. The celebrstion begins with lighting Diyas and bursting crackers. Here is a little glimpses of my celebration.

Diyas are central to Diwali celebration. The tradition is rooted in ancient stories, most famously the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after his defeat of the demon king Ravana. The word Deepavali itself, from which "Diwali" is derived, literally means "row of lights" in Sanskrit, referring to the rows of lamps lit to celebrate his return. Oil diyas were lit to illuminate every household. With time, wax candle has taken over but still tye signifincae of mid diyas is popular. We began the celebrstion by lighting the oil diyas and placing them at every doorstep.

This followed by placing wax candle at the balcony or the open spaces to spread lights as much as possible.

Besides these lights the electronic led lights are also popular. At many residential building in suburbs, illuminated building were treat to the eye...

This one is a sight of Delhi, sent by my brother. The entire complex as well as well each flats were illuminated with colorful lights. However, in village the diyas and candles were most commonly used. Once the lighting were done, the kids and other family member were quick to take over firecrackers work. The market is full of crackers. While some were popular for their flair, some were for the sound. I always like the flair crackers. The flower pot and the sparkles were quite common.

The flower pots were burned by placing on the ground, while the sparkles were lit in hand. They were very popular for the Diwali celebration. Once we done with crackers, it was the time for dinner and then again some crackers. Always a fantastic time to celebrate with family. A Happy occasion for all.
In good faith - Peace!!
