The 9 days festival of Navratri comes to an end with celebrstion all around the different parts of India. I have my first meals and it felt so nice. The timing of Navratri allows people to align their spiritual practices with the natural rhythms of the Earth and its changing seasons. While the village went for some sacrifice rituals, inwent for a walk around the temple to enjoy the awesome westher.
The weather is perfect, to enjoy the festival. These sacrifice rituals is pretty tradition custome in my village and many other parts. People sacrifices goats to get their wishes fulfilled. There was a long queue outside the temple. It was a rush time, after watching few i went ahead to enjoy the surrounding.
In older traditions, animal sacrifices were offered to invoke the goddess's power. The tradition is Still prevalent. While historically animal sacrifices were common, modern rituals often involve symbolic offerings of vegetables and fruits to represent the removal of negative influences and seek blessings for strength, prosperity, and new beginnings
One this particular day, one can enjoy the serene atmosphere of my village. Once the sacrifices were done, the entire village turned into a ghost village, with not even a single person can be seen outside. All of them were busy at home for the mutton preparation. From the cleaning to making pieces to cooking everything is done at home. While the gents were involved in the mutton processing, the ladies were into the cooking process while the kids and the older were desperate for the gala mutton treat. So expecting anyone outside is next to impossible.
This is what makes the place more quite and silent. I preferred to stay away from all this chaos. So wandering into the wild is the best thing one can. I did wanted to enjoy my own time. I do not wanted to get into all the stuffs. I fact I dont wanted to be part of all the process. People have their belief and faith on the sacrifices, but i am bit different.
People are pleased to offer sacrifices during Navratri to pacify wrathful deities, particularly the goddess Durga and her fierce forms, seeking grace, good fortune, and blessings for a happy life. The scene outside the temple were completely in blood. I wish I could share those pictures, somewhere I did not wanted to clicks those pictures. But anyhow time spent alone is better.
In good faith - Peace!!
