Recently NHAI was in news for their clean toilet campaign. National Highway authority of India (NHAI) is responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of National Highways entrusted to it by the government. The NHAI Clean Toilet Campaign 5.0 is a "Clean Toilet Picture Challenge" where users can report dirty toilets at NHAI managed toll plazas by uploading a geo-tagged photo via the RajmargYatra App. This initiative, part of the Special Campaign 5.0, rewards participants with a Rs.1,000 FASTag recharge for each valid report submitted before October 31, 2025. @bala41288 has already shared the post. Like many Indians, I was completelly aware of this campaign, but never thought to be able to take part in such initiative. But found an opportunity to make my first complain.

The campaign is only for the toll plaza toilets. The campaign is an all india initiative and gives a great opportunity for travellor to get rewarded. While making the road trip I take a note of this Toilet and found it dirty and uncleaned. The Toilet which is the only one in a long stretched road was not properly maintained. It was dirty and uncleaned. Finding it as an oppurtunity. I tried to report the issue through the #app, however seems there is some technical issue, as the #app.was bot allowing me to proceed with the submission.

You may have notice the dirtyness inside the toilet. It is not usabale in any sense. It is not operational at all, even though the toll booth is working. The sole toilet in the long stretched was abandoned as there is no keeper of the same. Before trying to submit the complain I tried to make sure the toilet comply with the campaign condition. The toll booth representative was hesitant to share the details of the area, but upon assuring no damage to his credibility, he shared some valuable location details. The complain was not getting registered on the #apps so I shared the same on #twitter.
I hope the NHAI representative may take note of it and do the needful to make the toilet gets working. I have nothing to do with the prize amount but at least they should take care of the commuters convenience.
In good faith - Peace!!
