… and I’m only an electric bass guitar player.
Imagine drummers and dont get me started on bass steel drums... you need a truck. I’m complaining, I’m a good complainer, but this is more about realizing each instrument has its own physicality requirements.
I think about this a lot. I asked myself, “what physical/muscle Control is required for this person‘s instrument? “
For example, I once thought trumpet players have it the best because they dont have a lot of heavy equipement. I realized I don’t wanna put my lips on metal to make music. Bust my lips trying to vibrate super high notes. That sounds Ouchi !
So, I guess it’s a trade-off. All music is a physical sacrifice that gets easy to underestimate. Probably underestimated by musicians and non-musicians alike.

It’s not enough to just play your instrument.
This next image features part of my equipment requirements.
Not pictured here is the collapsible music stand, and the music stand lights I had to buy. If this performance was outside, clear plexiglass would be necessary.
Also not featured in these images, cables. A smart electronic instrumentalist always bring their own power cords and instrument cable.
Thanks for supporting, reading and watching.
