Description from Strava:
We are back in Northumberland again so I could do my fourth run at this parkrun. It is nice to run by the sea. There was a good crowd at the start with lots of visitors as the Great North Run is happening tomorrow.
I set off a little quick, but then it is up the 'slight incline' for the first time. There was a bowls match going on at the club up there. As I came back down the hill others were still going up. You run almost to the finish, but then have to loop back to do the hill again.
I was following an old guy for most of it and passed him once, but he got back ahead. I thought I would be over 27 minutes, but as I got near the end a guy was shouting that it was still 26 something. I was happy with my time that is my second best there. I set some personal bears in a few segments.
There were cakes at the finish as someone was doing their 250th run and there was a birthday. I came 46th of 166 runners.
Run free and enjoy your weekend.
