Description from Strava:
The weather has turned distinctly cooler, but I was still in my summer running gear today. I wanted to go a little further than usual for the company activity challenge this week, so I did a short version of my loop around the villages. The issue can be avoiding the kids who are heading to school. I actually pass two schools, but may be back before the younger ones go in.
Heading into the underpass I saw this big lump of concrete. I assume some vandals ripped it out of somewhere nearby. That seems a lot of effort for not much fun. There has been some damage to fences near the parkrun recently. I cannot understand why anyone would do that.
It was fairly quiet by Etonbury school and I headed on through Stotfold. The road from there to Fairfield is uphill most of the way, but my pace was not too bad. After the second underpass I had to let a few kids pass me on their bikes.
I took the shorter way back as I did not have time to go further. I just added a little extra distance at the end. It was a fairly good run that was at the sort of pace I want at the moment.
Happy midweek and run free!
