Follow Friday: Unite the chains!

The News

The markets still look fairly flat although $HIVE dropped slightly. You can always show support for it. It only takes a few votes to get that rocket flying.

Vote for Hive!

$LEO is on the way up again and may overtake the legacy crapcoin that has no real development. I cannot post over there on my main account due to censorship, but maybe others can persuade people to come to Hive where they will find more to enjoy.

Hive Analytics is a new site that provides all sorts of data on the state of Hive. It looks like more reports will be added soon. We need to be aware of how we are progressing and the challenges we face.

Friday Follows

  • @crimsonclad does not post often, but then she is travelling the world telling people about Hive. She at least does an annual report. Getting noticed in the hyped-up world of crypto is not easy. Hive has a solid track record of providing a platform for people to blog as well as all the other things you can do here.
  • One thing that may help is to get other crypto projects posting here. We already had @dashpay and more recently @digibytecoin. Now we have the wallet app @zypto who have integrated $HIVE. Hive could become a hub to follow your favourite projects without the fear of getting shut down by over-zealous social media companies.
  • If we want people to build on Hive then we need good development tools. The old beem Python library is not being developed any more, but now we have hive-nectar from @thecrazygm. Support for the legacy chains has been dropped to focus on Hive that is evolving fast.
  • The @snapie mobile app for posting short Snaps has made it into the Apple Store.
  • As someone with solar panels I am interested to see how others do with such technology around the world. @holoz0r marks a year with his in Australia.
  • If you are travelling or visited somewhere interesting then be sure to pin it on the map with @worldmappin.

On the communities front: * SkateHive is really active on Snaps with lots of little videos. * BuzzParty covers Hive events. * HiveFest will get busy as the event kicks off in Kuala Lumpur in a month. * Comics seems quiet right now, but it is a place for fans of that medium.

The End

I have seen too much negativity lately so will skip The Dog House this time. I always say that Hive is not perfect. People will try to abuse it and people with power will act as they see fit. They tend to be very independent and hard to influence. This is a fairly small community and bad behaviour sticks out. If someone does not like what you do then you have to decide on what could make it better.

I tend to focus on what I can do to help others on Hive. I have set up communities and some small curation projects. If you just focus on personal gain then you may not get far as you need to work with the community to get anywhere.

Enjoy your weekend and Hive five!
