Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,
*
I noticed that since March I returned to my old instrument- palette knife. It was few years ago when I first time read about using palette knives and found that there are such variety of them, as everything in Artists world the quality materials and instruments are expensive and before buying I have to look around and buy something that I really could use.

I saw the palette knives of Italian manufacture that was used by one of the famous Russian Artist Igor Sakharov the what he could create with those knives absolutely impressed me and hearing his tutorials he advised the two sizes and the company that I immediately found and bought. Now while I do my painting I am absolutely happy with the quality of palette knives and what I can do with them.
For today my helpers are those two knife, actually because I am using them so long I can’t tell you what numbers they are as the wood with number is worn off. You can see that one is smaller and slightly thicker. The Artist Igor Sakharov calls it “little fish” and I like it to do little details. The large one is probably very common and has no name.
My last two works I did with palette knives and today I just wanted to keep going just as a practice. As you remember I am trying to use any possible moment and practice when I am free and while recently doing more portraits and using pastel I noticed that I needed more exercises with seascape and palette knives as I do not want to lose the skills and keep improving my technique.
I do not know if the next work is acrylic and palette knife because I just bought some more watercolour paper and I am so excited to try another technique of watercolor too. So will see.
So here is my palette knife work.
