The present cannot exist in isolation without the past. A society that doesn't know the past will end up repeating previous tragedies. This is why the subject of history is very important.
In the same vein, the importance of history means we need to be careful of the present, because it is the history of the future. A game played today will serve as a template for or against other games that will be played in the future.
Even though I try to stay away from politics as much as possible, the prelude to this week's STEMng is inspired by the ongoing events in world's politics.
