Flexible head. That is not my head. Well, what is a flexible head? I said it was not my head, but I was really thinking of my neck, which is not that flexible, I think because I tend to carry a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders. So. Flexible head. Maybe a mind that is open to new ideas, open to thinking about things a little differently, a little flexibly. Flexible head. Flexible head. Maybe a head that is rubbery, not surrounded by skull. Gotta be careful with that brain. Flexible head. Flexible head. Flexible head. Now my mind is going a little blue, as in blue humor, you know, other types of head. I don't really want to go there.
So I'm working on an essay right now, and I had been thinking, oh, fairly easy peasy, only 1500 words, doesn't sound like so much. For one of my other classes, nearly every class time we are supposed to submit a 500 word post about the readings for that class. And those don't feel very hard. 500 words comes pretty easy. But this essay, I was surprised to find when I checked the word count, is only at about 500 words so far, and I've been working on it for longer than I'd like. And I only have less than 2 hours to finish it. And if I take all that time, I'll be getting to bed very very late and that makes me very very sad. So I just need to hammer it out, meet the word count, and call it good enough. So I really need to get back to that. Ugh. I wish I could just treat it like a freewrite. Here I am at almost 300 words and it's been less than five minutes. So I could theoretically get to 1500 words in...less than 30 minutes.
