Shugran Valley and Sharan Forest: A trip to heaven. Farewell memories.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I hope that you all are doing well and living the best of your lives. I guess this much formality is enough, otherwise it’s going to kill me 😂. Well, I should have written this article long ago and shared it with you guys. But, I wanted to champion procrastination which I did. So without wasting more time, let’s get straight into the reason, I’m here for.

Basically, we planned this trip back in first year of our degree and were waiting for summer vacations to get started with our long planned trip. But wait, there is a twist. It took us four more years to fulfill our desire, yes you read it right, “FOUR YEARS.”

On the eve of farewell party, we finally decided to implement what we had planned long ago. Before saying final goodbyes and promises that we will remain in touch from hereafter. We packed our travel bags and departed for the mountains.

I must say this one memorial trip is going to stay with me (us) till death. Fast forwarding and here we are right beneath the heaven.

After a long journey, our first stop was at a local dhaba (hotel). We all had a cup of tea and an innocent smile to make it more sugary.

The scenery was eye-catching and believe me, my phone couldn’t capture the exact beauty these ever-green, humongous, and smokey mountains behold.

We also had a special guest here. Say Hi!

Next step was to go further. We had two options: go on foot or go for costly jeeps. Of course, we opted for the second one, because my group is full of smokers.

After an hour journey, we reached our destination. Everyone took out there mobile phones and started clicking, whatever they loved. Here are my clicks: a grazing cow, a mother and it’s lamb, the clouds, and more mountains.

Moving forward, a local told us that there is a natural stream nearby, so we decided to pay it tribute. And after few minutes walk, we are here. The calmness this place had is beyond expression and as you can see, water was crystal clear.

Finally, as the day came to an end, we just sat there, taking it all in — the cool breeze, the sound of the stream, and the quiet that cities never offer. This trip wasn’t just about visiting the mountains; it was about the laughs, random arguments, and memories we made together. As we packed up to leave, one thing was clear: this short escape will always stay with us, no matter where life takes us next.

And that's all for today's post.

......

Thanks for sticking by! Have a blessed life!
