Welcome to Easton, 1710, the first town in a living, breathing multiplayer world that you can help create.
We've just laid the foundation for a text-based online game — a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) — that combines Middle-Earth vibes, Dungeons & Dragons flavor, and a gritty post-medieval setting grounded in a fictional town named Easton.
But the real magic? It's open source, community-built, and blockchain-integrated.
✅ What We've Built So Far
Here's what we've already done — using Evennia, a Python-based MUD engine:
- 🎮 Launched a working public server: Telnet in at
74.208.146.37 4000
in browserhttp://74.208.146.37:4001
- 🧱 Created our first town: Easton, the humble spawn point in a fog-covered square
- 🏚️ Built Easton's core locations:
- Luna Shack: Home of two hillbilly brothers who buy/sell scrap (Nater & E.R. Luna)
- Enchanter’s Garden: Mystic grove with magical flora and Eyla the Enchantress
- Blacksmith: Hammer-and-anvil haven run by Brannick the Half-Orc
- Home Row: Leaning houses and Granny Sel, a medic with dried meats and gossip
- 👤 Populated the town with custom NPCs with rich backstories
- 🧭 Wired exits between locations so players can explore Easton freely
- 🔧 Fully interactive: You can explore now via Telnet or eventually through a web client
🧠 Why We Need Your Help
This is a massive world, and one person can’t build it alone.
While I focus on the backend, blockchain economy, combat systems, and PeakeCoin integration, I'm opening the world up to writers, worldbuilders, roleplayers, and D&D fans who want to:
- Create cities, towns, ruins, dungeons, temples, and taverns
- Add NPCs with personalities, shops, and scripted interactions
- Write lore, faction histories, or item descriptions
- Help test the tutorial or class/race system
Think of it like early Minecraft, but all text — you build the world, and it becomes permanent.
If you’re familiar with D&D, coding, creative writing, or just like the idea of a living world that pays respect to old-school multiplayer storytelling — this is your chance.

🛠️ Coming Next: “Builder’s Quickstart Guide”
The next post will include a simple list of building commands like:
@dig Room Name = direction
@desc here = Room description
@create NPCName = typeclasses.characters.Character
@tel NPCName = here
@open direction = Destination
It’ll show how easy it is to contribute to the world — even from your phone.
💬 Final Thought
This is about more than just a game. It’s about building something permanent, from scratch, together.
No microtransactions. No loading screens. Just imagination, story, and code.
Easton is just the beginning. Help shape what comes next.
