Alright! It's the monthly grocery check! Grocery shopping is one of my monthly activities that I love and hate at the same time. I love shopping foods because I love to have a pantry filled with stocks but on the other hand, I dislike going out and travelling to the mall.
Have you tried shopping your groceries on your own? It's therapeutic except when the aisles are jampacked. Recently, my brother goes with me to shop for his groceries as well.
For this month, we went around lunch on a weekday and we're lucky because there weren't much people shopping. After paying bills and buying our meds and vitamins, we went inside the grocery to commence our shopping.
We pushed our separate carts and went separate ways to maximize time. It would be faster to do our grocery separately. We just set a meeting place after an hour so we could go at the cashier together. Our meeting point was beside the pineapples. Lol.
I was done a few minutes before an hour and I thought I was early but I found my brother already waiting when I arrived at the pineapple corner.
Then I realized that I forgot to get some frozen foods, so my brother told me that he'll wait for me and watch over my cart while I go to the frozen goods. I quickly went straight to the chest freezers and picked some frozen goods.
I was craving for bacon and hotdog so that's what I picked. I can't remember the last time I bought hotdogs. Processed foods aren't healthy but my goodness, they taste delicious. Lol! Perhaps indulging on processed foods sometimes won't hurt, right?
Finally made it back to my cart. Hey, don't judge my cart just because mostly that's visible were junk foods. The healthy foods are under. Trust me. Haha.
And we're ready to go!
We went on different cashier lanes to do the task faster. As usual, he finishes first and waited for me on the side because vegetables, fruits, and meats needed to be encoded manually.
It was after lunch when we were finished with our groceries. I was a bit hungry and craving for a corn dog so I convinced my brother that we take a snack before going home. I don't know why my brother prefers bringing his cart to the food court instead of leaving it at the baggage area. It's a hassle to push the cart around the food court especially when it's crowded.
Anyway, finding a table wasn't much difficult because people were already done eating lunch although there were still lots of people around. My brother also bought our drinks while I wait for him at the table and look after our carts.
I find it weird that there are no trash bins around the food court which leaves people with no choice but to leave their trash on the table. Unless they take it and throw outside. There are staff present to clean the tables, however, it's embarrassing to just leave your trash.
Anyway, that's how our grocery shopping day went. I got all the stuff I needed and also ate the food I've been craving! And most of all, we arrived home safely. Thank God.
