Hi, I’m Noctis. While this isn’t my first post here, I have yet to introduce myself, so here goes. @felt.buzz
I’ve always been drawn to books, drawing, and anything creative. As a kid, though, I didn’t always have the freedom to pursue those passions. While every other parent would encourage their child to read, mine forbade me from getting close to any book that was not school-related. So once I got bored with reading my English book for the seventh time, I stopped.
Later, I tried drawing. Without tutorials or guidance, I simply sketched whatever I could, but my attempts rarely matched the image in my head. Being told I “wasn’t talented enough” made me think maybe I wasn’t cut out for it—so I stopped.
I wish I had known that wasn't true.
And in 2020, when they once again decided that this time I wasn't good at studying either (despite the opposing evidence), I had no choice but to drop out.
For nearly three years after that, I spent nearly every waking moment escaping into books. Reading became both a refuge and, eventually, a spark. Somewhere along the way, my interest in writing rekindled.
I decided to give it another shot.
Writing is what excites me the most, but when I’m not at it, I’m usually playing video games, coding, or dabbling in game development.
