When was the last time you checked your #witness #votes ?
If you look at : https://hive.arcange.eu/witnesses/ and click on the version tab at the top untill 1.28.3 is at the top and you scroll down to 1.28 in yellow everyone bellow kozgamer is inactive not producing any blocks because they didn't update their witness .
The witnesses with their name in RED have deactivated their witness the ones in blue probably forgot to deactivate their witness correctly , something they should have done here : https://hive.ausbit.dev/witness by login in and selecting Disable Witness
But as you can see after the last hardfork some witnesses decided not to continue , but still receive votes , make sure your votes still count !
go to https://primersion.com/witnesses type in your name ( no need to login ) and it will show you the list of witnesses you voted for , check the column with **Last Block ** it shows when the witness produced it's last block , in the screenshot below you see some examples going back 3 years of inactivity, that means that a person didn't check his witness votes for + 3 years .
The last 3 weeks i've been trying to make people aware by simply replying to their post with : Hi , you might want to check your witness votes , i saw your name voting for a witness that is no longer active ;)
Some have responded and made changes , others have been inactive for a longtime and probably will be for a while longer .
I'm just trying to make people aware that those votes do matter new witnesses depends on those votes to rise in ranks.
And if in the process of changing these votes people decide to vote for my witness it's a bonus. But the big win is that your votes are not wasted on inactive witnesses .

The ecency page for witness votes is not really friendly imho since it only shows the top 50 of the witnesses . but if you insist you can find it here : https://ecency.com/witnesses scroll down untill you see :
Type the name of the witness you want to vote for and click the ^ arrow and your vote is casted.
Another option is Hive Keychain , if you don't use it you can find more info here: https://hive-keychain.com/
go to top left menu click on it
and select Governance
type in the search box the name of the witness you are looking for , for example stresskiller , at stress it's already showing my witness click on the arrow and your vote is casted.
Another option is assign a proxy to your account so that they make all the witness and proposal votes for you instead. and save you from all the trouble.
so for example you would want to make me your proxy :
go to https://ecency.com/witnesses scroll all the way down again until you see :
type in my name stresskiller like this
And click on set proxy and now you will vote for the same witnesses as i do . You can also do this in Hive Keychain.
Go to top left menu click on it :
and select Governance
Select the proxy option , type in the name of the account you want as a proxy, for example "stresskiller"
and click on Set as proxy .and now your witness votes will mirror my witness votes .
and just like your witness votes you can always change your proxy !
