Bienvenidos! 🙋🏻♀️
¡Hola amigos!!
Welcome! 🙋🏻♀️
Hello friends!! Wow, I don't even know where to start. It's been months of dedication with Oreo. Who, I remind you, developed carcinoma on her nose due to the sun. She's white, and as you know, white cats are more prone to these skin diseases due to prolonged exposure to the sun. Thankfully, we were able to detect everything in time with the help of good veterinarians here on the island. They told us about something innovative, a type of chemotherapy for this type of cancer in cats, which had already worked, and they were bringing the first products to the island. So, we didn't hesitate to begin this journey with her. Like all chemo, it had its side effects: vomiting, pain, discomfort. Her paws would get extremely dry, and thankfully, her hair didn't fall out as much. We didn't let her go out in the sun, of course. We took her out at night with my other cats. She's been a brave kitty. She behaves well despite her strong character. She listens, loves to receive lots of affection, and always wants to be accompanied.

To make a long story short, she finished her chemo treatment, and the only thing we achieved was to delay the inevitable, that is, stop the growth of the wound, more, since she finished her treatment, her meowing changed and she has very frequent sneezing attacks, of course she was taken to the doctor, and well, all we can do is medicate her so she doesn't feel so bad and the infection doesn't advance, in the meantime, we are letting her enjoy a little more of the life she has had with us, it is sad to have to send her to sleep, but more inhumane would be to keep her alive and let that carcinoma eat away half of her face. If you have white kittens or with white fur on any side of their face, be very careful!! Do not expose them to strong sunlight, the one that comes out at dawn is perfect for them, and then in the afternoon when it is no longer intense 🙏🏻.
