Hello, my lovely friends.
Sometimes happiness comes unexpectedly, just like yesterday, when a huge bundle of joy knocked on my door out of thin air. That day, I went about my normal routine, as the restaurant I currently have is temporarily closed to care for my ailing mother. I started the day by making a cup of fragrant coffee and enjoying the peaceful morning air. Then, I went out to feed the pets I care for both in the garden and at home. When I got home, I took care of my mother, bathed her, fed her, and then relaxed, watching my favorite Korean drama.
At noon, my phone rang. It was my daughter's number. She told me to meet her at a motorcycle shop in Trang town. I didn't think much of it. I assumed my daughter had taken her bike in for repairs or had some other business. Since I had never suspected anything about my daughter, I quickly got dressed and went out as she had told me. Not long after, my daughter came by car to pick me up and took me to the motorcycle shop.
When I arrived, I saw many motorcycles parked in a beautiful row. The shop staff and her daughter took me to the guest reception counter and let me wait. Then, the daughter walked into the shop's office, leaving me sitting there in a daze. Not long after, the daughter walked out with a sweet smile, which surprised me a little. But I didn't think anything of it until the staff walked in and handed me the motorcycle keys. I looked back at my daughter and the keys in the staff's hand with confusion. I was shocked when my daughter said, Surprise! Mom wants to buy you a new motorcycle.
In that moment, it was as if the whole world stopped spinning. I was so overwhelmed with joy that I couldn't speak. My heart was filled with joy. My daughter had just returned from Koh Phangan, and being able to be with her daughter and son-in-law like this was truly a warm and joyful feeling.
The staff took me to see the new motorbike my daughter had bought me. It was a truly beautiful pearl white. The staff explained everything in detail to my husband and I, from maintenance to operation, and finally had me sign the paperwork to receive the bike. I felt so happy and proud of my daughter that I couldn't describe it. This gift had great sentimental value for me, because it wasn't just a gift, but the love and care my daughter had put into it.
Happiness and sadness, all at once. As the happiness surged through me, a small wave of sadness also began to arise in my mind. The question that followed was where should I put this motorcycle at home? I didn't want it exposed to the sun or rain, not even a little. The staff explained that once the motorcycle reached 1,000 kilometers, or one month, I should bring it to the service center. The one-month period was fine, but the 1,000 kilometers was a real headache. Every scratch on this motorcycle would be a huge waste, as it was a gift my daughter and son-in-law had so carefully purchased for me. The sadness that rose in my mind at that moment was mixed with the happiness I received. It was a complex and indescribable feeling of overwhelming emotion. This gift made me feel that it was more than just a vehicle. It was a symbol of family love and warmth. No matter what the future held, I would take the best possible care of it, because it was the best gift I could receive from the people I love the most.
For today, I must say goodbye, my friends. See you again soon. Thank you for following and supporting me. Thank you very much. ๐๐ฅฐ๐๐๐๐.
