Hello everyone, Its been a while since I posted a content about my Splinterlands journey. So today I will be featuring our guild brawl for the recently finished brawl cycle. I've been with the PeakMonsters RiftWatchers Guild for months now, and I have done if my guess is right 10 Brawls with them. And this last brawl finally we placed first. Our Officers made a lot of adjustment to who is to be assigned in the specific fray , so now I can say that effort is paying off.
As to my contribution for this brawl cycle, I was assigned in fray 5.
This fray is has a gold card cap where all cards available cards can be used, be it modern or wild cards.
For my current card collection, I guess this is the best fray for me where I can contribute to the guild more. Most of my collection are Just Chaos cards and the recent Rebellion reward cards. Even with just a small spread of my collection, most of them are in their max level if not at least in a level where they start becoming useful.
In my fray I was give n a total of 7 fights, so now I will be sharing the results of my battles and what strategies did I used for each of them.
First Battle
This battle is a battle of commons and rare cards and range units are all banned. Good thing my favorite water element is playable. So I picked my strongest water units, even flexing my Level 7 Isgald , but sadly my opponent only has a level one summoner for this battle, that being the condition I had a flawless win.
Second Battle
This second Battle is a tough one, since only limited units are available and with the rule Shades of Gray, only Neutral Units is available for use. And to be honest my neutral units are not that effective against full deck players.
And to make it worst my most hated tank Coeurl Lurker was used by my opponent, this unit paired with a bunch of swift skills will make it unstoppable.
And in addition to that the enemy units are hitting my key units and with the 2 Swift Units on their side they get to hit first.
But in this battle I really did use the wrong summoner since it doesn't have much effect on my chosen units.
So this one is a loss.
Third Battle
This battle should be harder, if only the opponent did not use a taunt unit as tank, since the rule includes a Fury which doubles the damage dealt to unit with taunt. Agor Longtail maybe a good tank because of it's massive health and armor, but if you take away the heal it will be not as effective anymore.
So because of the taunt, all the double damage was absorb by Agor making his existence a little bit short. Look at that 12 damage by Deeplurker, erasing almost all of Agor's health.
Now with the tank gone, the remaining units now have much threat on my remaining units.
Even with the high damage of Chaos Dragon , my units have enough health to withstand it. So another victory for me.
Forth Battle
My forth battle is a fun one, the rules included a Fog of War Rule making assassin unit a bit useless on this one. That's when I decided to pull my double heal composition. And to make it more interesting I used the Light Element showcasing the skills of Pelacor Conjurer as a tank.
And to back it up incase my plan doesn't work I chose a second tank that triggers a triple heal by using Halfling Refugee.
Majority of my opponents are mages making my Pelacor even more effective against them, and with the heals he is getting , the enemy was not able to wear him down. Now that's my third win.
Fifth Battle
Sadly my fifth battle is a Fled, an error occured and when I was able to refresh the battle result was already given. So this becomes my 2nd loss in this brawl .
Sixth Battle
I must say this battle was my favorite, because I get to flex my Gold Level max Katrelba Gobson, this cards is a pain in the @&& during rank battles, I've been hit with this card multiple time and I guess now I learned my lesson.
The Opponent was first to hit due to hiss massive speed advantage, but when my turn comes Gobson hit the backlines with two massive hits , eliminating both back units giving him 2 boosts, while that's happening Xoc was accumulating health because of it's scavenger ability. I guess the scavenger ability was also one of the main reason we won this battle because we were able to withstand the attacks because of its health.
The cycle continued , Gobson is hitting the backlines eliminating them one by one and gaining stat boost as they fall. I really love this card, a mid mana unit with a stats of large mana units.
So this is how Gobson looks like at the end of the battle, securing me a very exciting victory.
Seventh Battle
Luckily one of my battles was also a free one, my opponents was not able to submit it's team before the brawl timer. So A free win for me.
So After 7 battles, I managed to get 5 wins and 2 Losses. Not bad for my deck I must Say. And by placing first I personally was able to get 101 SPS and over 6 thousand in Glint. I know our guild will have more winnings like this , again all thanks to the efforts of our officers in properly mix and matching every brawlers in our Guilds.
