Hello hive crocheters! Recently I was looking at twitter and I found a dynamic of “choose your crochet outfit”. I was bored so I started to check it out and the truth is that I loved each of the options, but in the accessories part there was an image that caught my attention immediately because I really thought it was too cute.
It was like a scrunchie with tulips hanging from it, I loved it and that same night I tried to recreate it but in my own way. Beyond being a hair accessory, I wanted it to be multipurpose, that I could also use it to tie up my curtain and as a belt.
So I eliminated the scrunchie and started my own version. I used green, pink wool, and cream acrylic yarn, 2-2.5mm crochet hook.
I started by crocheting 86 chains with green yarn, then with pink yarn I made a 12sc magic ring, attached it to one end of my chain stitch strip and the second round was 2sc1inc, then I continued crocheting sc until I reached round 5, filled in and finished, repeated the process again at the other end.
Once I had my two tulips ready, I began to weave small stars that would adorn the stem because I didn't want it to look so simple. I made a magic ring where I repeated 5 times the following pattern: slst, sc 5chain, sc (in each chain) then I closed the ring and followed the following pattern other times: slst, sc, hdc, dc, 7sc.
I made 4 and attached them to the stem to finish my accessory, it is quite easy to make and very pretty, to give a tender and delicate touch, I would like to make another version but with lilies, they are very pretty and I have a special person who likes them very much, I think she will be very happy if I crochet one for her.
What do you think?
