Buenos días, buenas tardes o buenas noches, damas y caballeros. ¿Cómo están? ¿Cómo se encuentran el día de hoy? Espero que muy bien. Yo, particularmente, estoy un poco preocupado por un examen que tengo para mañana, pero nada que la inteligencia artificial no pueda solucionar, mi fiel compañera en las buenas y en las malas.
Dejando eso de lado, todos saben que próximamente está por estrenarse la película de Chainsaw Man, que trae un cambio drástico a lo que vimos anteriormente, dejando de lado ese estilo cinematográfico del anterior autor —que había admitido que odiaba el anime— y abriendo paso a un estilo más cercano al del manga, buscando ese frenetismo y colores algo vibrantes, que podemos observar desde ya con el opening de la película.
Lo que quizás no sepan algunos es que, para refrescarle la memoria a los fans, sacaron dos películas recopilatorias, que evidentemente también tienen como propósito recaudar un poco más de dinero; actualmente se encuentran para ver en Crunchyroll. Lo que hace especial a estas películas es que el director es el mismo que el de la nueva, así que hace unos pequeños ajustes, logrando que la primera temporada de Chainsaw Man sea más disfrutable de ver.
Aunque ahora lo que me da más risa es la nueva opinión de los fans: piden una cosa y después quieren otra.

I, personally, am a bit worried about an exam I have tomorrow, but it's nothing that artificial intelligence can't solve—my faithful companion in good times and in bad.
Putting that aside, everyone knows that the Chainsaw Man film is due to be released soon, which brings a drastic change to what we saw before. It leaves behind the cinematic style of the previous author—who had admitted he hated the anime—and paves the way for a style closer to the manga, seeking that sense of frenetic energy and somewhat vibrant colours, which we can already see with the film's opening.
What some of you might not know is that, to refresh the fans' memories, they released two recap films, which evidently also aim to rake in a bit more money; they are currently available to watch on Crunchyroll. What makes these films special is that the director is the same as for the new one, so he makes a few small adjustments, making the first season of Chainsaw Man more enjoyable to watch.
Although, what I find most amusing now is the fans' new opinion: they ask for one thing and then want another.

Ahora, si vas a redes sociales, los que antes pedían un cambio de estilo, ahora que se lo dan, quieren el anterior; simplemente, un sinsentido total, ni ellos saben lo que quieren. Yo, particularmente, seguiré defendiendo el hecho de que Chainsaw Man es una obra creada para ser frenética y atrapante, no para tener un ritmo lento y cinematográfico, ya que la temática no da para ello, simplemente no encaja.
Algunos de los cambios que hicieron para las películas recopilatorias fueron volver a grabar la voz de algunas escenas para que fuese más llamativa, además de que se reemplazaron algunos diálogos que causaron disgusto entre los fans. Obviamente, recortaron escenas que encontraron innecesarias y, lo más importante para mí, cambiaron toda esa atmósfera seria que se tenía antes, donde había batallas sin soundtrack o mucho silencio en otras escenas; en las películas podrás observar que añadieron soundtrack, haciendo todo más ameno y menos aburrido.
Con la versión episódica ya lo había comentado antes: me pareció tan aburrida que me quedaba dormido cada vez que intentaba verla, pero con esta versión es todo lo contrario. Mis aplausos para el nuevo director y su cambio de enfoque. Ya solo quiero ver cómo será la película para terminar de juzgar bien.
Now, if you go on social media, those who were previously asking for a change of style, now that they've been given it, want the old one back; it's a total nonsense, they don't even know what they want. I, particularly, will continue to defend the fact that Chainsaw Man is a work created to be frenetic and gripping, not to have a slow and cinematic pace, as the subject matter doesn't allow for it—it simply doesn't fit.
Some of the changes they made for the recap films were re-recording the voiceover for some scenes to make it more striking, in addition to replacing some dialogues that caused displeasure among the fans. Obviously, they cut scenes they found unnecessary and, most importantly for me, they changed that whole serious atmosphere it had before, where there were battles with no soundtrack or a lot of silence in other scenes; in the films, you will notice they added a soundtrack, making everything more pleasant and less boring.
I had mentioned it before with the episodic version: I found it so boring that I would fall asleep every time I tried to watch it, but with this version, it's the complete opposite. My applause to the new director and his change of focus. I just want to see what the film will be like to finish judging it properly.

Espero con ansias poder ir al cine a ver la película; sería una experiencia divertida, como la de los que fueron a ver Kimetsu no Yaiba. Yo, particularmente, no fui de esos, ya que no me llamaba la atención.
Lo que sí me llama la atención es esos fans ahora llorando porque quieren el estilo viejo, que no les gusta el nuevo. Solo pregúntales a los japoneses para que veas que aman el cambio de estilo y que odiaban el otro, siendo un fracaso en ventas; MAPPA teniendo que buscar ganancias por otros lados, animando otras películas de Fujimoto para poder sacar presupuesto. Además, cuando estuvo en emisión, tanto revuelo el primer capítulo para luego ser superado de forma aplastante, semana a semana, por Bocchi the Rock!. Para el público occidental quizás esté bien, porque están acostumbrados a esa apariencia cinematográfica, ya que lo que más hacemos nosotros son series o películas; pero para los japoneses, supongo que fue una traición.
Yo, sinceramente, creo que fui un poco duro en el pasado; pero si el anime hubiera salido como las películas recopilatorias, no me hubiera quejado de nada, porque, viéndolo bien, la animación es maravillosa, y los planos y tomas de los personajes son simplemente preciosos. Eso no lo puedo negar nunca. Hasta las batallas, de las que muchos se quejan por el CGI, están muy bien hechas; no les encuentro defectos. De las mejores implementaciones de ese estilo de animación que vas a encontrar en un anime.
Mi queja siempre fue el ritmo, y ahora, una vez corregido, solo me queda decir que Chainsaw Man es un buen anime. Si quieres algo serio, ve el formato episódico; y si quieres algo más rápido y acorde con el tono del manga, ve las dos películas recopilatorias.
I'm really looking forward to going to the cinema to see the film; it would be a fun experience, like those who went to see Kimetsu no Yaiba. I, particularly, was not one of them, as it didn't appeal to me.
What does catch my attention, though, is these fans now complaining because they want the old style back, as they don't like the new one. Just ask the Japanese, and you'll see that they love the style change and that they hated the other one, which was a commercial failure—with MAPPA having to seek profits from other sources, animating other Fujimoto films to secure a budget. Furthermore, when it was airing, the first episode caused such a stir, only to be overwhelmingly surpassed week after week by Bocchi the Rock!. For the Western audience, it might be fine because they are accustomed to that cinematic look, since what we produce most are series or films; but for the Japanese, I suppose it was a betrayal.
I, sincerely, believe I was a bit harsh in the past; but if the anime had been released like the recap films, I wouldn't have complained about anything. Because, looking at it properly, the animation is marvellous, and the character shots and framings are simply gorgeous. I can never deny that. Even the battles, which many complain about due to the CGI, are very well done; I can't find any flaws in them. They are some of the best implementations of that animation style you will find in an anime.
My complaint was always the pacing, and now, once corrected, all that's left for me to say is that Chainsaw Man is a good anime. If you want something serious, watch the episodic format; and if you want something faster and more in tune with the tone of the manga, watch the two recap films.
