Este planteamiento propuesto por @irenenavarroart, en la [iniciativa semanal #255](https://ecency.com/hive-124452/@ladiesofhive/ladies-of-hive-community-contest-255) de esta gran comunidad me atrapó, porque tengo experiencias para compartir al respecto.

Are you team remodeling a house or are you team finding that everything is ready?
This approach proposed by @irenenavarroart, in the [weekly initiative #255](https://ecency.com/hive-124452/@ladiesofhive/ladies-of-hive-community-contest-255) of this great community caught me, because I have experiences to share about it.
Recuerdo cuando mi esposo y yo compramos nuestro primer apartamento, nuestro presupuesto era limitado, no nos quedaría ni un centavo para remodelar o reparar, así que debía ser algo que nos permitiera mudarnos sin gastar nada.
Vimos varias opciones y ninguna cumplía con nuestras expectativas: Buena ubicación, espacioso y que, como dije antes, listo para habitar.
Hasta que nos mostraron uno en el sector Venecia, entre Puerto la Cruz y Lechería, estaba en una colina con una hermosa vista al mar, incluso tenía un par de piscinas de aguas cálidas, que han sido las más agradables en las que me he sumergido.
No era moderno, no estaba remodelado, pero estaba habitable.
En él vivimos muy cómodamente, su ubicación era muy conveniente, en el centro de todos los municipios colindantes, todo nos quedaba cerca y estaba en una zona exclusiva.
I remember when my husband and I bought our first apartment, our budget was limited, we wouldn't have a penny left to remodel or repair, so it had to be something that would allow us to move in without spending anything.
We looked at several options and none of them met our expectations: good location, spacious and, as I said before, ready to move into.
Until they showed us one in the Venecia sector, between Puerto la Cruz and Lechería, it was on a hill with a beautiful view of the sea, it even had a couple of pools of warm water, which have been the most pleasant in which I have immersed myself.
It was not modern, it was not remodeled, but it was livable.
We lived in it very comfortably, its location was very convenient, in the center of all the neighboring municipalities, everything was close to us and it was in an exclusive area.

Luego de algunos años, notamos que los edificios se estaban deteriorando y decidimos vender el apartamento.
Esta vez hicimos una jugada estratégica: Compramos uno más pequeño, en un edificio nuevo y en una mejor zona (Lechería); pero estaba en obra blanca, es decir, tenía sólo el piso de porcelanato y las paredes frisadas, pero había que hacerle la cocina, los baños, los closets y colocarle el aire acondicionado.
Era una inversión importante, pero lo mejor fue que con el dinero de la venta de nuestro primer inmueble, pudimos comprar el segundo y remodelarlo, no tuvimos que usar dinero adicional.
Fue una excelente jugada, porque habíamos adquirido una propiedad que estando remodelada, tenía el doble del valor de nuestro primer apartamento.
Ese movimiento fue todo un éxito y me encantó la experiencia de ver hecho realidad todo lo que diseñé a mi gusto y para mi comodidad.
After a few years, we noticed that the buildings were deteriorating and we decided to sell the apartment.
This time we made a strategic move: We bought a smaller one, in a new building and in a better area (Lechería); but it was in white work, that is, it had only the porcelain tile floor and smoothed walls, but we had to make the kitchen, bathrooms, closets and put the air conditioning.
It was an important investment, but the best thing was that with the money from the sale of our first property, we were able to buy the second one and remodel it, we did not have to use additional money.
It was an excellent move, because we had acquired a property that, being remodeled, was twice the value of our first apartment.
That move was a success and I loved the experience of seeing everything I designed for my taste and comfort come true.

Aunque era un espacio 20 metros más pequeño que el primero, la cantidad de closets que le habíamos colocado, permitía que todo estuviera en orden y no se sintiera la diferencia de espacio.
Además fue bonita la experiencia de que fuera un apartamento a estrenar, fuimos los primeros en vivir allí.
Luego decidí mudarme cerca de donde trabajaba mi esposo (la empresa lo había transferido a una localidad a dos horas de donde vivíamos) y sólo lo veíamos los fines de semana.
Entonces tuvimos que vender ese apartamento en Lechería, para tener una vivienda en la ciudad donde estamos ahora.
Y lo volvimos a hacer, con lo que vendimos aquella propiedad, compramos dos casas a remodelar.
También habíamos guardado el dinero para la remodelación, pero ocurrieron dos cosas:
Compramos todo el material que necesitábamos para remodelar una de las dos casas, pero el albañil se lo llevó y desapareció luego de pagarle toda la mano de obra, porque nos pedía un adelanto tras otro y nosotros confiando en la buena fe de las personas, accedimos a cada uno de ellos.
La casa quedó muy lejos de ser terminada, abajo les muestro una foto para que tengan una idea, y como eso ocurrió en el 2018, la situación país había cambiado drásticamente, perdimos por completo nuestro poder adquisitivo y no pudimos terminarla.
Por fortuna, la otra casa estaba habitable, aunque muy incómoda para nosotros, porque tiene dos habitaciones y baño y casi todo necesita remodelación, porque ni closets tiene, pero al menos no quedamos en la calle. Desde entonces es donde vivimos.

It was also a nice experience that it was a brand new apartment, we were the first ones to live there.
Then I decided to move close to where my husband worked (the company had transferred him to a town two hours away from where we lived) and we only saw him on weekends.
Then we had to sell that apartment in Lechería, to have a house in the city where we are now.
And we did it again, with what we sold that property, we bought two houses to remodel.
We had also saved the money for the remodeling, but two things happened:
We bought all the material we needed to remodel one of the two houses, but the bricklayer took it and disappeared after we paid him for all the labor, because he asked us for one advance payment after another and we, trusting in the good faith of the people, agreed to each one of them.
The house was very far from being finished, below I show you a picture to give you an idea, and as that happened in 2018, the country situation had changed drastically, we completely lost our purchasing power and could not finish it.
Fortunately, the other house was habitable, although very uncomfortable for us, because it has two bedrooms and bathroom and almost everything needs remodeling, because it doesn't even have closets, but at least we were not left on the street. Since then this is where we have been living.

Este año, después de reunir dinero por algún tiempo de mi empleo, en criptomonedas y gracias a Hive, reanudé la remodelación de nuestra casita, aún cuando mi esposo me decía que era imposible.
Ya le faltan sólo detalles para estar habitable, aunque no dispongo para hacerle los closets y es algo que dejaré para otro momento, estimo que para diciembre ya podríamos mudarnos, aun sin closets.
Una remodelación hoy en día es muy costosa, así que si ahora tuviera que comrar una propiedad, tendría com oprioridad que esté lista para mudarme, porque no tengo los recursos para remodelarla.
Aunque mi opción favorita es remodelar una propiedad que tenga potencial para incrementar su valor (algo muy importante, porque mi hermano le gastó mucho dinero a su casa y al venderla no lo recuperó), si no tengo lo que necesito para la remodelación, no lo intentaría.
This year, after raising money for some time from my job, in cryptocurrencies and thanks to Hive, I resumed the remodeling of our little house, even when my husband told me it was impossible.
Although I don't have enough money to build the closets and it's something I'll leave for another time, I estimate that by December we could move in, even without closets.
A remodeling nowadays is very expensive, so if I were to buy a property now, I would have to make sure it is ready to move in, because I don't have the resources to remodel it.
Although my favorite option is to remodel a property that has the potential to increase its value (something very important, because my brother spent a lot of money on his house and when he sold it he didn't get it back), if I don't have what I need for the remodel, I wouldn't try it.
