A las 7 de la mañana ya estábamos listos para este viaje, por fortuna no teníamos necesidad de salir antes, así que no madrugamos.
Desde la noche anterior las maletas estaban listas, a excepción del equipaje de mi hija que lo preparó 3 días antes del viaje. Mujer precavida vale por dos, si alguien se quedaría, no iba a ser ella.
Estuvo lloviendo durante la noche y no fue diferente en la mañana.
Llegó el transporte que nos llevaría a esta nueva aventura. Mi camioneta se había descompuesto un día antes, pensamos que nos iríamos en autobús, sin embargo, pudimos viajar con unos amigos en un transporte privado, lo que fue genial.
Un paraguas fue nuestro aliado para caminar hasta la entrada de la urbanización, donde estaba la camioneta tipo que nos esperaba.
Nuestra alegría era imperturbable: Caracas nos esperaba.

The transport arrived to take us on this new adventure. My van had broken down a day before, we thought we would go by bus, however, we were able to travel with some friends in a private transport, which was great.
An umbrella was our ally to walk to the entrance of the urbanization, where the van was waiting for us.
Our joy was undisturbed: Caracas was waiting for us.

Aunque estaba cansada por el trajín del día anterior, no dormí en las 8 horas de carretera. Dormir mientras viajo, es algo que no se me da bien, por lo general, me gana la emoción de lo que me espera.
Pero tampoco tenía ganas de hablar, así que mientras varias de las personas que iban en el transporte mantenían una charla animada, yo me mantuve en silencio, absorta en mis pensamientos.
Al inicio iba al lado de mi esposo, por lo que pude apoyar mi cabeza en su hombro, cada vez que quería descansar mi cuello.
Pero en la primera parada, mi hijo quiso mi puesto, porque yo estaba en la ventana y a él le gusta observar el paisaje (a mí también). Mis hijos tienen ese poder de hacerme cederles lo que a mí me gusta.
Me senté al lado de mi princesa e íbamos acurrucaditas las dos. Fue muy agradable.
Hacía bastante frío, la combinación del aire acondicionado junto a la lluvia, lo potenciaba. Pero nosotros íbamos preparados con nuestros abrigos, además del calor humano.
Lo cierto es que llovió durante todo el viaje, algo que no había visto antes.
Como yo estaba en el asiento tras el conductor, estuve la mayor parte del tiempo observando la carretera.
Although I was tired from the hustle and bustle of the previous day, I didn't sleep during the 8 hours on the road. Sleeping while traveling is something I'm not good at, I'm usually overcome by the excitement of what awaits me.

En líneas generales fue una gran experiencia, a pesar de la lluvia.

Además, de vez en cuando él grababa videos y los enviaba con notas de voz ¡Mientras conducía!

Gracias a Dios llegamos sanos y salvos a la capital, donde hubo un apagón por varias horas y se acababa de restablecer el servicio, apenas pisamos la ciudad.
El hotel estaba congestionado, se estaban registrando muchas personas, supongo que a causa de la falta de luz no había sistema.
La energía era tan pesada en ese lugar, que pensé en cambiarnos de hotel.
Luego me di cuenta que fue debido al caos del tiempo sin electricidad, además la ubicación era perfecto y el precio solidario, así que no quedamos allí.
Aún llovía en Caracas, pero tenuemente.
Eran las 4 de la tarde y no habíamos almorzado, así que nuestra primera salida fue a comer.
Y para cerrar el día, mis hijos tuvieron un rico postre.
