Every person carries a world inside them made of memories, feelings, and little details that shape who they are. Sometimes we keep those worlds hidden, and other times we open the door and allow others to see. For me, writing is one way to share that world, even if finding the right words is not always easy.
When I think about introducing myself, I do not just want to say my name. I want to share the things that make me smile, the lessons I have learned, and the people who bring meaning to my life. These little pieces may seem simple, but together they create the bigger picture of who I am.
Hello everyone! I am Mae Antoniette. Many people would say that I am a very cheerful person. I like to smile and laugh a lot, even when there are problems that come my way. I am the kind of person who would never sulk for a long time over a single problem or circumstance that happens in my life. Instead of being sad, I try to look for ways to solve it or at least keep myself positive. I believe that life is too short to waste on worries, so I choose to look at the brighter side of things. I can say that I am also a relentless person, which means I do not easily give up. I may face a lot of challenges, but I do not allow them to stop me.
I am a consistent honor student. I am not bragging but hoping to inspire anyone. Being an honor student is not easy because the pressure I feel especially from my parents is really heavy. It builds an expectation from me that every semester they expect me to be on the honor list. But despite those medals and certificates what they do not know is the hidden burden of expectations that lies beyond the curtains I have made for myself so that they would not be able to see how vulnerable and fragile I really am. What makes it easier is that every time I receive an award, my parents never fail to show how proud they are of me. I believe their expectations reflect their happiness in seeing me grow as a responsible student, and that is what helps me focus on the brighter side even when things get hard.
I also get along with others easily. I think my cheerful personality makes people feel comfortable around me. My friends and classmates often say that I am fun to be with because I bring light and laughter into the group, and that makes me happy too.
I am now a graduating senior high school student,currently in my 12th grade. Being a senior high school student has been one of the most fun and unforgettable times of my life. I get to bond with my classmates and friends almost every day, and those little moments of laughter and togetherness make school more exciting.
I can honestly say that senior high school is the most significant era of my life because this is the stage where I truly started to grow. In this level of education, I have acquired knowledge that I never learned back in junior high. I have learned not only academic lessons but also real life lessons, like managing my time, and becoming independent.
Senior high school also gave me the chance to meet new people, people I never thought would become such a big part of my life. They added so much color to my journey and made my days more meaningful. Even though there are stressful times because of the long 8 to 9 hours of classes, it is never dull for me because of my friends. They are the ones who cheer me up whenever I feel tired or feel like giving up.
My friends are some of the most important people in my life, and I treasure every memory with them. They are the ones who make my everyday life lighter and happier. They always know how to make me laugh, especially when I am feeling down. No matter how stressful school becomes, they can turn a bad day into a good one just by being there for me. We share many random stories every day, and we also keep each other’s secrets.
There are times when I struggle in academics, and I feel like I cannot handle the lessons. During those times, my friends are always ready to lend me a hand and explain things I do not understand. We help one another, and I think that is what true friendship really is. Without them, I think my high school life would have been very different and maybe even sad.
Aside from my friends, another big source of my motivation is my significant other. He is someone who never fails to make me feel special and supported. He would go out of his way just to make me happy. When I feel down, he cheers me up and makes me laugh. He lets me do the things I love and always supports me in whatever I want to achieve.
Even during times when I fail or make mistakes, he never gets tired of believing in me. He is proud of me no matter what, and that gives me the courage to keep trying new things. With him by my side, I feel more confident to face challenges because I know that there is always someone who will support me a hundred percent.
After classes, we sometimes go on small dates, and those simple moments are what I treasure the most. Even just walking together or eating snacks after school makes me feel so happy and relaxed. Being with him helps me release all the stress and tiredness from school. He is like my safe place, or as I like to say, my rest.
I like to take pictures of sceneries, it became a hobby for me. Whenever I’m taking photos, it feels like I’m not just capturing a random view but a memory. It’s like freezing a moment in time that I can look back on in the future. I really enjoy it because it feels like I’m living in the moment while keeping a piece of it with me forever.
I especially like to take pictures of sunsets since our school is just a walking distance from the beach in our town. Watching the sun slowly go down and paint the sky with warm colors makes me feel so relaxed and helps me forget about all the stress from school. I usually go there with my friends and my boyfriend, and it’s always fun because we get to enjoy the view together and make new memories while I capture those moments with my phone.
I also like to go to the gym whenever I have time because I want to stay physically fit and improve my physique. It makes me more confident about myself and is also a way for me to focus on my personal growth. I am still working on with my routine and slowly pushing myself to become better everyday.
Joining Hive feels like opening a new chapter in my life. It is not only a chance for me to improve my writing but also an opportunity to connect with people who love to share their own stories. I am grateful to be part of this community, and I am excited to keep writing about my experiences that shape me, and look forward to the journey ahead.

I truly appreciate the effort she put in helping me create this account and also for the reminders of the violations and the things that is forbidden by this community. I hope that through this account I can share my thoughts and experiences in a way that brings happiness and positivity to others. I know there's still a lot of things I haven't figured out yet but I am eager to keep learning and grow while keeping in mind the lessons and reminders she shared with me.
