Who gave birth to Romanticism?
Who gave birth to all these periods?
There are so many influential figures, obviously. But, I learned about Romanticism a lot. Rousseau was the one from Age of Enlightenment who whipped ideas, and Romanticism came out of that magical wand. He advocated for innocence nature of human that humans are innocent in a state of nature. It's the education that corrupted human civilization.
of his famous quote;
Man is born free, but everywhere he is in chains
I know it's becoming scholarly, I know. But all of you have to walk with me. I am connecting dots with whatever I read and thought. Now, I am writing down all those scattered thoughts in my mind. Though, not organized. I know, after writing, pressure will decrease from my mental framework.
So, Rousseau's idea of Human in State of Nature became a starting point for many literary figures to start a literary movement of what we call today - Age of Romanticism.
Here we have; John Keats, William Wordsworth and many others.
Both of them have used this particular line that become mouth piece ______ A thing of beauty is joy forever. At first, it was used by John Keats in his poem "Endymion," and the second time, it was used in an extremely famous poem Daffodils.
Beauty is not a fleeting thing. Fleeting means something that flows away within moments and leaves nothing behind. Beauty is permanent. It leaves an imprint forever on your mind.
Just like those days that i spent with my loved ones. Though, now they moved on to such places that are inaccessible to me still I have lived memories and experiences in my mind.
This summer, I lived life. Though, i feel every moment, I am living and thriving in moments. It's amazing to be close to nature and to allure at it.
Summers are extended. It's extension is becoming severe and sweet. One can elegantly say- Summers are becoming bittersweet. More prolonged, sometimes drastic as over here with the heavy spell of monsoon causing sufferings and floods. At the same time, the mixed flavour of summer along with sweetened texture of spring in the beginning of March and April brings life to flowers and greenery all around us.
So, it's a memory of those good old days. Why joy forever? Why? I am asking again?
Dude, because they are lasting as it became a beautiful refreshing stop point in the gallery of my mind. I can easily park my bike at this stop, I mean i can pause my memories in my cognitive framework. I can think and rethink. I will bring a mild or more wide smile on my face. It became long lasting from short living.
When next year, days will complete their calculated spin and come back in a new form then I don't know who would be available or how much available to such moments! But, I can, and you can live these passing seconds. Each one of it.
