Greetings, people of the #HivePets Community. Meet **Spinel Sun**, the pet of the house and the youngest of my cat **Luna**'s children. He was born after [Orión](https://peakd.com/hive-196708/@takeru255/les-i-presento-al-primo-de-mi-gata-luna-orin-sun-spaeng-gzt) and [Aurelia](https://peakd.com/hive-196708/@takeru255/les-i-presento-a-la-unica-). I am looking for a home for his siblings, but not in the case of **Spinel Sun** because he chose me as his owner.
Since he was little, he always preferred sleeping with me to with his mother, sucking on the breast. I think that's why he ended up smaller than his two siblings. He's very affectionate with me, and I love him very much. I named it **Spinel Sun** after the character from Cardcaptor Sakura. Clow the wizard's pet.

Like his sister **Aurelia Sun**, he's a hunter. He once killed a snake. When he's not active, he spends his time sleeping on some piece of furniture with his head hanging off. You could say he's a pretty laid-back and affectionate kitty because he also purrs every time I get close to him.
For me, he's everyone's favorite because, besides being adorably cute, I love him so much that he's black. One of my favorite colors, and people generally tend to avoid these dark-colored kitties because of the stupid belief that they bring them bad luck, but he's brought me more than good luck.

He always accompanies me wherever I go. He's silent with me, keeping me company. So he came into my life to give me pure, unconditional love. He also plays a lot with his brother, Orion. Sometimes they sleep together, but Spinel is actually more exquisite and likes to sleep in his bed.
Wrapped up in air conditioning. He's also a very tidy kitty, constantly licking himself to keep his fur shiny and straight. Sometimes he licks himself so much that he wets the bed sheet and makes me think he peed.

See what I'm saying? How affectionate is Spinel? He hugs his little brother with so much love. He also tends to hug my arm or leg when he's sleeping in bed. And even though he looks so peaceful, I haven't been able to neuter him yet, which caused him to run away from home a few days ago.
Let me tell you what happened. About a week and a half ago, my niece, who really loves playing with my cats, told me she hadn't seen **Spinel Sun** the whole time he was there with them. That was around 2 p.m.

So, the two of us started calling him with a food container, shaking it like a maraca with cat food inside, because when he hears this sound, he jumps out of wherever he is and comes right away. And nothing, the boy didn't appear for all that.
We searched for him for several hours, all afternoon, calling him, and I also searched for him on the block where I live, but nothing. It was as if the earth had swallowed him up. For my part, I was extremely tense and worried that something bad had happened to my feline son.

So, on one of those trips I was making to find him, I got home and found out that the neighbor's dogs had devoured a black kitten. Upon receiving this news, I was in shock and didn't know how to react.
I cried for two hours over the loss of my beloved **Spinel Sun**, and to my surprise, I saw him come home safe and sound through the window as if nothing had happened. It made me feel angry and happy at the same time. Since then, I've been more attentive to him to prevent him from escaping. Well, see you in a future post!
