This is a series I've been highly recommended to watch for a while, and because of its plot, I didn't hesitate to give it a chance. It's a somewhat macabre psychological thriller that presents a story from the perspective of children. What surprised me most was that the protagonists were children. After watching the first episode, I was so intrigued that it became clear to me that they were actually the victims of the story. Its drama and suspense intrigued me until the very last episode of the first season; I couldn't stop watching until I reached the end.

If you haven't seen it, I'll just tell you that the story is about children living in an orphanage who are trying to escape. What's supposed to be a place to shelter children and give them up for adoption to families who truly love them, is actually a different story. This place is a facade among many others that hides something sinister about the fate of these children. What begins quietly as an innocent series of children playing and living together in a place where they grow up in the hope of being adopted, the plot takes an abrupt turn that raises the intrigue to another level, and you don't know what will happen next.

Yes, this series is one of those where the story doesn't follow a predetermined course, and the author knows how to intrigue you to such an extent that you don't know what will happen to these children or their future. So, as the chapters go by, you grow fond of the characters, not only the main ones but also the secondary ones. You also identify with them, their experiences, or attributes—everything here touches your heart at some point. They also make clear the true meaning of friendship, loyalty, and, above all, the freedom to live a full and secure life.

As for the series' villains, you could say they're the adults and something else that's never revealed but leaves you with an idea of what it possibly is. And I consider the entire story of the first season a work of art because it's like watching a ball of yarn unravel, where you only see problems, intrigue, and obstacles, only to finally successfully see a light of hope at the end of the tunnel. This series embraces uncertainty in all its splendor, and it doesn't stray from it in any of the first season's episodes.

Unless you've read the manga, it's the only way to get an idea of what's coming. I haven't watched the second season yet because I've received very negative reviews and comments about it. Especially because it strays from the plot of the manga, and that's sacred to me, so I'm still hesitant about finishing it or just leaving it after the first season. Of course, I've thought about not getting so carried away by what people say and finally deciding to watch it right away, but I've been so busy that I haven't had enough time to do so. So, we'll see what happens later.
