Remaking a white blouse

Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well! I'm slowly working on finishing my sewing projects. It's still very hot here, but winter is approaching when I like to knit. So I want to finish the sewing projects I already started by then. Today I finished it!

This blouse used to look like this. I already wrote that I received a large blouse.

The fabric of this blouse is thin, natural, very beautiful. I decided to sew something like a cape for the beach from this. I have a couple of blouses for the sea; they are very beautiful but they are made of synthetic fabric, so I am not very comfortable in them. That's why I wanted it from natural thin fabric. First I removed the collar, sleeve cuffs and front panels.

The next step was to resolve the size issue. Now I will show you what it was like.

Of course, a beach blouse shouldn’t be tight, but this blouse is several sizes larger than mine. I decided to try removing excess fabric from the side seams and sleeves and part of the fabric also from the middle of the back. I ended up with one more seam in the middle of the back.

Since my weakness is a dislike for preparatory work, this time I decided to show self-discipline and prepare the seams for work on the sewing machine. I'm really great! (when we do something we don’t like, we need to praise ourselves) 😁🙈

Look what I got! ln my opinion, this is much better, right?

The last step remains - adding lace. I wanted to finish this particular project since we are going to go to the sea and I would like to take this with me.

I really like what I got (even despite a whole bunch of mistakes that I made during the process)!!! 😀

The lace really decorates the blouse and I can't wait to wear it with a swimsuit and see how comfortable it will be.
