There are a lot of sad stories when the juvenile system takes children away from Russian-speaking mothers, and the mother fights to get them back. This year in the Netherlands an absolutely unique case happened! CPS had not only to return kids back but also to compensation for the moral damage caused!
Is it the only one case, friends? I haven't seen such a great result of fight ever!
The story of Elena Antonova is long and dirty. The reasons of СPS were absolutely wild and absurd.
Elena is a citizen of Latvia, she was married to a Russian-speaking citizen of the Netherlands. The twins Nastya and Kolya were born in the marriage. But, the marriage did not work out and the couple divorced.
First, a war broke out between the parents - with whom the children will remain. And Elena got hooked by CPS "Yogdzorg" (I think, not without the help of ther ex-husband). They quickly made a report: the mother emotionally did not allow children to communicate with their father.
2 years later early in the morning the house was cordoned off by the police and 8-year-old twins Kolya and Nastya were taken by force on an urgent decision without trial. The trial took place only two weeks later.
There were two official reasons for the removal of children after the trial:
-
Mother speaks only Russian with kids at home (how did they know it??)
-
The father is afraid that Elena will take the children to Latvia.
The police in the Netherlands seriously suspected that if a Russian mother spoke Russian with her children in Holland, then she could agree with the children ... about an escape. Of course, from Holland. Where to? To Latvia, for example. Or even directly to Russia.
In the orphanage, the twins were forbidden to talk to each other in Russian. For violation of this rule, punishment followed - no communication with each other.
The children were also not allowed to use the telephone, Internet, TV and read newspapers. Elena could meet with her children only once every two weeks. The meetings lasted no more than an hour. Communication had to be in Dutch. The conversation ended immediately if the mother or her children switched to their mother tongue.
For two years Elena fought with the courts and authorities. CPS didn't want to let kids return to the mother. LAter it was discovered that just in 1 year the orphanage received 100,000 euros for Elena's children.
Only 2 years later after long fight and endless trials kids could be at home again. But the mother did not stop and wanted to punish all who made her kids suffer.
And she won! She made CPS pay for these hell 2 years. Of course, it will not return all her tears and her kids' pain....but at least CPS were punished!
