“Winter, spring, summer, or fall~ All you have to do is call~~”
Are you familiar with that song? I bet you are.
All we can do is just wish for four seasons in the Philippines. But let me take you to a place here in Cebu where we can make it appear to have four seasons. Let’s take a trip further north. Last August, we went to Medellin for a beach camping trip. Medellin is a 3-4hrs drive from our place. It would be a waste of time if we just stop in one place for that weekend. That’s why we decided to stop by the Bamboo Forest in Medellin.

It wasn’t my first time though, but the last time we went here, we were in a bit of a hurry. We were not able to take pictures or try out their gimmick.
So what’s in store for you at Medellin’s Bamboo Forest? For starters, it has lots of bamboos. Peace! Kidding aside, this is a man-made bamboo forest. It is well lined up which makes it perfect for your Instagram pictures.

The place gives you a vibe similar to Kyoto’s Arashiyama Bamboo Grove~ish. Here’s a sneak peek of Japan’s bamboo forest taken by yours truly.
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto, Japan
Medellin’s bamboo forest has diverse decorations. They have Disney decorations by the side and other characters. But the Japanese vibe remains more dominant.
To enter and experience this man-made wonder, you have to pay an entrance fee of Php 20. They have costume rentals for Php 100 if you want to spice up photos. I saw in social media posts that there are also a lot of people who do their prenup photoshoot in the bamboo forest.
Of course, we seized the opportunity in trying out their costumes. Don’t worry, they sanitized it after every use.
We make the most of these Japanese vibes by wearing their costumes for our photoshoot.
Here are our faces during those shoots. Some photos were taken by @asasiklause.
We had a lot of fun in our photo shoot. We didn’t mind what people thought of us in our costumes as long as we had fun and loved the results of our shoot.
When you visit Cebu, you can add this to your list.
Till my next adventure guys.
