Discovering new places is always exciting, and I love to discover the unseen beauty around the Huairou district, where I am living now, and also the neighboring districts such as the Miyun, Shunyi, and Changping districts, which are the adjacent districts of the Huairou district. I have already visited so many places in the rural area which are located in the mountains region of the Beijing Municipality. Also, most of the mountains are located in the western and northern side of the Beijing and luckily I am living in the northern region of the Beijing Municipality.
The place today I am going to take you is a water reservoir which is known as Shayukou Reservoir. It is located between the Huairou and Shunyi districts, and the water reservoir is surrounded by many mountains, as it is situated in a mountainous region. Also, the location is very rural and there is no public transport to visit this distant area. There is a mountain village just before the water reservoir. As I have visited the area from Huairou City centre, so I have explored the northern part of the water reservoir.
The Shayukou Water Reservoir is situated at a distance of around 25 kilometer from my living place and I have chosen my bicycle to explore the area as it allows me to explore the surrounding natural beauty in this mountains region of the district. I have visited the area in this July just before I visited Bangladesh during the summer season. It was the middle of summer and the temperature was higher than usual and I sweated a lot and I needed to drink a lot during that time. But the mountains region has high altitude that makes my exploration comfortable.
I was very tired when I reached the location as the roads was climbing up on my way to the reservoir, especially the last 2/3 kilometers was very tiring and I was unable to make a round the reservoir but I have my plan to do that in future days. But the soothing fact is that the region is completely in the nature far from the city life that makes the overall surrounding so beautiful. The greenliness of that surrounding is very rare in most of the mountains area.
The time when I was exploring the surrounding area was in the afternoon and the location of my stoppage was at the loaction that made the shing sun a problen for taking good photos of the water reservoir as the sun was directly falling on the camera lunch. But the beauty of the nature was so beautiful that the views of the reservoir with the fantastic mountains covered with green trees made the scenic views more attractive and healing for my mind.
The breathtaking views were so soothing for the eyes, and I was so healed with the fresh oxygen of this area. Also, my tiredness is gone when I arrived at that point and I have taken some rest there. I wanted to to go further but the road was climbing more higher altitude, so I didn't go furtehr but in coming days I will go more deeper and explore the whole area with more exploration of the area.

It was an amazing experience to explore such a fantastic place like this, with the discovery of natural beauty, to enjoy my Beijing life! Furthermore, the favorable weather with clean air and very comfortable weatehr during the day, the views were more beautiful than in normal time with the sun behind the white clouds.
