After my last visit to the Miyun City, there have been a lot of happenings. I have visited my home country in the last August and there was a massive flood in the city that has taken a death toll of 31 people as it was a sudden flush flood due to the cloud explosion in the mountain region of the district. So, after a long time, I have visited the district last week and when I was remembering the flood, I was quite emotional, as I know the reality of floods that is very common in Bangladesh due to the lowlands and in the lower stream area of so many rivers originated from the Himalayan Mountains range.
I have travelled to this district as one of my cycling session last weekend which was a total 60+ km cycling from 1:30 pm to almost 8 pm at night when I came back to my dormitory. Though I have my dinner in the Miyun city and some rest and exploration in many scenic spots of the district. I had plan for more places to cover but I was late in my start and became so tired to climb some mountains that day. But one of the most fantastic desination was the Miyun Reservoir Exploration Dam which is a great point for the travellwer to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Miyun reservoir which is the largest lake-like water body in this region.

The Miyun reservoir is so large that covers more area than many districts of the Beijing Municipality and it is located in the heart of the Miyun district that is the most east-northern district of Beijing municipal. It is a great source of fresh sweet water for the whole northern region and some rivers originated fro this massive lakes has traveeled through whole Beijing and I found one river Chaobai that ends in the ocean after crossing the Tianjin city. So, you can easily understand how large the lake is.
The dam is a part of the road but the open space with sitting arrangement int he both side of the dam makes it a great place for tourists in this area as it is very easilly accessible with all kinds of tranportation. I have gone there by cycling but it was very tiring as it is just on some mountain regions and it was difficult to climb up. But the surrounding views vanished all of my tiredness.

The surrounding views are so beautiful at the both side of the dam. In the front side you can explore the breathtaking lake-like water reservoir and in the otherside you can find the natural scenic views of a beautiful villages and many mountains in the background. You can not see the other side of the lake in any weather as the lake is so large like a sea. Unfortunately the weatehr was good but the long-distance views were not clearly visible that day as you can feel the faded views in the far horizon.
I found a lot of people on the dam enjoying the sight seeing views of the surrounding beauty that can attract everyone. I have also enjoyed a good moment and feel the freshness of the places after cycling more than 35+ km as the direct distance of the dam is more than 30 km from my dormitory but I have chosen some other routes that increases the distance. I have spent around 30 minutes there enjoying the views and fresh and pue oxygen of the air that made me more stronger to continue my cycling.

I hope you like my photos of the beauty of the scenic spot of the Miyun Reservoir Sight Explorationn Dam with these amazing scenic views in the afternoon in this late summer season. It was an amazing experience to explore such a fantastic natural scenic place like this, with the discovery of natural beauty, to enjoy my Beijing life! Furtehrmore the favorable weather with clean air made these views were more beautiful and soothing with healing power for removing our stress that we get in our daily work routine.
