> And we are off.
For a mini-trip overseas. Europe is kind of cool like that, because it is possible to get away to another country (literally overseas this time) to spend a night or two abroad. And this will be our first trip abroad without Smallsteps, as we managed to find a friend willing to stay with her for a couple nights.
> Not that she is difficult to look after.
(I reckon she could pretty much survive by herself at this stage)

As we didn't know if it would be possible, we left it pretty late to book anything for our anniversary and what we were planning was one of these romantic little box cottages in the forest somewhere with a lake view. But, for the exorbitant price of that and the fact that there is nothing around them but forest, we opted for a hotel in Tallinn instead. We will get in a bit late due to the school and boat schedules, but early enough to maybe go for a sim in the pool and grab a bite to eat.

And then tomorrow we will just bumble around the city until we head for dinner at a nice restaurant that *should* do a decent steak (as per madam's wishes). It doesn't really matter what we do, it is just nice to be away for a little while together. And as such, I am probably more unavailable than usual. However, I did bring my camera so I might do a photo post tomorrow, if there is anything worthy.

Tallin (In Estonia for those who don't know), is a pretty cool city in my opinion and has developed a lot in the last thirty years since the break up of the U.S.S.R. It is the first place I visited after coming to Finland, which is on a work trip two weeks after arriving in Europe. I often joke that I almost got married in Tallinn, after being served in a store by a beautiful girl whom I barely talked to.
> Don't tell my wife.
(Just in case we run into her.)

But now, we are on the fast boat from Helsinki to cross the Gulf of Finland. It takes about two hours, but there are other options where you can do overnight cruises across and have a room. I don't see the point of that for such a short trip, though many party on the boat I guess.
Now though, I am wondering where my drink is, as my wife went off to grab a cider and hasn't come back. Perhaps she met someone more interesting and I will holiday alone. That would be a travel story to tell for sure!
