The payouts for $SURGE keep coming.
Over the last month or so, since the release of SURGE, I acquired a number of these tokens. Each week, there is a payout in either HBD or LSTR. Personally, I chose the latter.
The difference between a stablecoin and an asset that have volatility is obvious. This means I am entering a degree of speculation on my part. However, since I think that LSTR has much higher levels in the future, this is a great way for me to acquire more tokens via yield.
In this article I will go through some of the numbers to show how this works.
My totals are not in one account so I had to add them up.
The Numbers
So far, I am paid 84.841 $LSTR for my SURGE holdings. I will not even begin to determine the APR since I was adding SURGE throughout the process.
That said, this is not bad for a month or whatever the timeframe is since the payouts began.
According to the track, @surge.yield, I earned a total of $221.508.
Here is what the report looks like. Again, my numbers are different since this is only one account with the SURGE in it.

It also happens to be the latest additions, with some going back further than the last couple weeks.
Even as it stands, this would be a fine return. At 15% APR, that is a decent return. That said, it gets much better.
At the present price of $4.04, the $LSTR paid out has a value of $342.75. This is actually $120 more than if I paid out in HBD (stablecoin).
Of course, we have to mention the volatility of $LSTR. It is rather easy for a "painting of the ticket" to occur. Again, this is something I am not worried about because I feel there are higher levels.
What happens if we hit $10 $LSTR. I would have received over $800 for the $SURGE I hold. Naturally, the question of liquidity is always on the mind of investors. With the upcoming addition of Base, this should make exiting positions much easier.
Generating Wealth
This is how wealth is generated. Compounding is a simple process, especially when one is aware of how to do it.
Since we live in a world where the US dollar still dominates, the value of holding in that currency is important to most. With USD stablecoins on the rise, even those in countries outside the US can take advantage of the currency.
Having USD assets that go up in value is important. At the same time, we see how more units can be acquired, in this case $LSTR. Getting paid an income is one thing but getting assets that appreciate in value is how wealth is created.
