Fun Friday Light Painting
Today I will share some more light painting shots I have done recently, with still waking between 3:30 and 4 AM and the sunrise now after 5:30 I am able to head out and give them a try
For light painting, I have my camera setup on a tripod as they are all long exposures the shortest of these ones was over a minute 69 seconds seconds, and then I have two RGB critter flashlights and various light painting tools from Ants on a Melon which I attach to them, and then move them around trying to create cool patters.
IN fact the first shot i share is only using one of the torches as for some reason one would not turn on this morning, I just imported the photos and edited them I will check out the torch later, sure it is something simple, although I was tempted to order a new one, but three mat be excessive, so will decide after I check out the one that wasn't working
May be hard to justify buying a third one as there not cheap the model they have now is the RGB critter BT which can be set using an app on the phone, but costs $149
So this first photo is just using one torch
Update - I did end up buying a new torch :) and have done a few more light painting shots since these ones, and I am happy that I am slowly improving i think the ones I took this morning are the best I have done so far, but sharing some in the order that I took them, not saying i am not happy with the shots I am sharing today I think I am just slowly improving :)
I have been playing around with the settings as the torch has programming for various colors and sequences at different speeds, and I thought I had been moving the torch and attachments to quickly and hence not getting the patterns i was wanting, but I was happy with how this first one came out
The first shot was at the beach at Fort Taber, this next one is beside the hurricane barrier wall I am quite happy how it came out
Another day I went by the fort as we had heavy rain the day before and I hoped that there would be a puddle in this spot, which there was all be it not as big as I have seen before
Someone on a previous post asked if I had ever tried writing hive, so I gave it a go, its OK but i will try again and see if I can do better
And another one from this morning on the beach
