Mono Monday a few shots from recent walks
Good Morning Hope your all having a good weekend, but lets remember why its a long weekend
On this Memorial Day, let us take a moment to reflect on the bravery and dedication of our fallen heroes. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. mY photos for today are from recent walks and not Memorial day related.
As I tend to do on Mondays, sharing a few Mono shots from a recent walk i took on the harbor walk here in New Bedford
Alittle bit about the harbor walk
The New Bedford Harbor Walk sits atop the New Bedford Hurricane Barrier on East Rodney French Boulevard. The hurricane barrier is said to be the longest in the world The New Bedford Harbor Walk begins next to the East Rodney French Boulevard boat ramp, stretching about three-quarters of a mile to its northern end at Gifford Street. Here, the harbor walk extends along the inside of the hurricane barrier past Palmers Island. At night, the walkway is lined with more than 160 light fixtures, so this is a nice spot for a stroll in the evening, or as I tend to do in the early morning. there are two walkways built on the hurricane barrier walk, this one and the Cove walk which I think is a little longer, but I do not often walk on there for a couple of reasons, if it happens to be a nice sunrise the views are nicer from the Harbor walk, and secondly, I have found the harbor walk safe to walk, the only people I ever see on there in my early morning walks are people walking or jogging for exercise. The Cove walk is probably safe as well, but the last times I thought about walking it in the early morning, there were whall I say some shady characters on it and I decided to play it safe and not walk there
now i do love the views out over the water while walking here but sometimes it worth looking at taking a shot the other way such as this commercial building
