The Pier/Memorial walkway at Fort Taber park
Good Morning I wish you all a good day, well morning, day evening or night depending when you read this.
Last Wednesday I shared a walk in Fort Taber Park, where I focused on shots other than the beach and pier which I do tend to share a lot of shots of, well today I am back to the normal with a few shots of the pier in the early morning light as if you have followed me for a while when I visit here I often walk on the beach and take shots of this pier from various angles.
Now I call it a pier but it is actually called the Mariners Memorial Walkway
THis morning I walked around the fort first getting a few steps in stopping at this point to get a shot of the walkway in the lovely early morning light before sunrise peaked

The pier was built around the same time as the fort itself, between 1857 and 1871. The fort, a coastal defense structure, was constructed as part of the nation's sea coast defense system. The pier would have been essential for accessing and utilizing the fort, it has since has been refurbished with a cement surface lighting and railings extending into the city's harbor
