I continue to search for reasons to adjust my asset allocation. I must admit that Gold and Silver have had a nice run this year. My path has always been to take assets and investments from other sources and convert them into metals. This has worked for the last many years, and I wonder how much longer this will be the way.
I have to think about the next store of wealth when I think the metals become overvalued. This is where cryptocurrencies become important. As much as I love the metals, they are not very liquid. This makes growing your physical holdings a bit risky when you want to swap into another vehicle for savings.
It's time to have a plan for when the metals have a blow-off top!
Here is how I plan to shift my savings into income. Keeping a core position in Gold and Silver is a must, so all physical coins and bars will remain in their secure location, in case shit hits the fan. 😱
Then it will be time to think about selling my precious mining stocks. They are very risky, and it will get harder to hold them long term. I will sell 75% of them while I am still way in the green. Saving 25% of them in case of more ten x baggers.
Where do you put all of these large amounts of cash? It will be time to get some stable cryptos that can earn a yield even through the down cycles. If this plan plays out, I can still grow my wealth and sleep at night knowing I still have my core savings in Gold, silver, and some Platinum.
I am most certain that we will see a big correction in real estate within the next few years, so I will start looking at which cryptos will be the biggest gainers in this sector. I have no need or want to manage properties. Right now is not the time to buy these assets, in my opinion. So when the time comes, I will be ready to ape in on the correction I know will come.
In the meantime, I will just keep stacking LEO, HBD, and LSTR. LBI and SPI are two others I like. LBI holds a lot of LEO and LSTR, and Spinvest is my hedge for not having a lot of Hive.
Writing this post makes me think about the future more than I care to. These are just some thoughts on what to do so I'm ready to start the next chapter in life.
