Last Weekend of August: Puppet, Visual Arts, and Joy Party
Hello to all the #hivers of @weekendexperiences. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. We go from Party to Party and from Work to Work. When you do what you love most, the smiles on both sides bear fruit.
Saturday
Morning
As almost always, the usual Peña of the International Puppet Garden, in one of the communities of the La Lisa municipality. Few children came today. Between the rain, the holidays, and a birthday party right in front of us… The most addicted to puppets arrived. Those little ones who bring us more joy than the other way around. This time, @adaletitiritero presented a short version of "The Country Mouse and the City Mouse." We ended with some dancing with "Happy Cat."
Afternoon
Fulfilling the invitation from the Jaimanitas Cultural Center, we joined together for the closing party of Summer in this #community. When we arrived, we only saw one girl; later, two more arrived. Uhm, but when everything was ready, there were more than twenty children, and numerous adults.
With happiness, we gave them the play "Mayito el de la mula" (Mayito and the Mule), by the Cuban maestro Julio Cordero, who wrote it specifically for Adalett's one-man show. This summer, Adalett has given us the pleasure of staging it together. It's a version of the Labrador Treasure, which praises the effort and reward of the land when it is cultivated.
Sunday
Every Sunday in July and August we were at the Aldaba Theatre Space. Tomorrow we'll be performing "Cundiamor" by Garzón Céspedes, actors: @adaletitiritero and @tiolucioviajero. If you're near Marianao, Havana, we invite you to join us at 10:00 a.m. at the Aldaba Theater.
See us. Greetings, Teatrozos.
