If you could instantly master one skill but forget one you already know, what would you choose?
Swimming has always been a skill I love, but one way or the other, not been able to achieve.Given the opportunity today, I would gladly learn to master it without hesitation.
Growing up, we had a fishpond, I and one of my childhood friend usually play close to the pond,it was one of our favorite spot to play in,there was a faithful day I fell into that fishpond and almost lost my life, I feel this was the traumatic experience that caused me to have phobia for entering pools or closing my eyes for too long while bathing.
As a non swimmer, the thought of jumping effortlessly into the water, simply enjoying the relaxation and the fitness I would probably get through swimming has always been appealing to me.
Swimming being a stress reliever, a good mood booster is actually needed for my everyday pressure filled life. I actually experience these when I went with my friends to swim, even though I don't know how, them teaching me that day brought out something in me.
As someone who doesn't know how to swim, the thought of entering the water can be so scary I tell you, sometimes I feel like am going to be swallowed by an unknown creature.
Today,if am given the opportunity to instantly master swimming, I would definitely learn to overcome my fears, one day at a time though, with each passing day😁
I believe that all skills are important, apart from the fun and swimming being a stress reliever, for me, it's also a survival skill and this is so because my state usually experience flood every year, we are praying for a change though, in addition to that,am from a riverine area, so it's kind of important for me to know how to swim.
Forgeting a skill i already know might be difficult but then, mastering the skill of swimming would be an incredible opportunity, one that I would eagerly embrace.
