We had some issues growing our vegetables also known as ugu,it dries up after few tries, it was threatened by weather, insect and goats.

(A photo of the previous vegetable that dried up)
But with the various advice given to me and my neighbors on how to go about the vegetable plant, we where able to have a healthy growing vegetable.

Today the vegetable plant is striving strongly with enough leaves and the possibility of even bearing fruit in the future.

Present day photo of how our vegetable plant is blooming with freshness
How did we actualize the advices given to us
-
We made sure to lift the stem from the ground as early as possible to avoid them being eaten by insect.
-
We added ashes gotten from burnt wood, which is used traditionally as manure to facilitate growth and as insect repellant.
-
We made sure to avoid over cutting the leaves when it started to grow, and cutting it at the right place to create more branches for it to grow in.
-
Other plant was a little bit far away from it, unwanted plants where weeded out to support growth.

We are enjoying the hard work that was put into the growth of this vegetable plant.

It's amazing how such amount of leaves can be produced within a short period of time.

The amount of stems from the root are few, but what it produces is amazing, I was told not to cut the vegetable carelessly to avoid it to dry off, cutting it at the appropriate position creates more room for growth.
