IS TECHNOLOGY BRINGING US CLOSER OR MAKING US LONELY?

Good Evening Fellas... Hope you had an exuberant day?
If you see what is happening around today, it’s clear that technology has changed the way we live now. Some people argue that it makes us lonely, but for me, I believe technology has brought us closer than ever before. Let me explain why to you.

Seriously, with the way the world is going now, technology has gone viral. Gone are the days, if you wanted to browse the internet, you had to look for a café and buy 30 minutes time before you could even log in to Facebook, Instagram, or Yahoo mail. I remember how we used to line up at those cafés, waiting for our turn just to check one email or chat with a friend. Compare that to now with just a smartphone in your hand, you can connect instantly with friends and family across the world, without no stress.

Furthermore, the same goes for photography. Back then, if you wanted to snap a picture, you had to call a photographer. They would bring out their big camera, take the shot, and later print it for you, sometimes in less quality than you expected. But now, thanks to smartphones with clear pixel graphics, you can snap your own picture anywhere, anytime. In fact, the pictures we take with our phones today are often better than the ones we snapped in a photo studio some years ago. This has not only made memories easier to capture but has also made sharing them faster. With just one click, you can share your joy with people far and near.

Another area is music and video. Back then, if you wanted to download a song or video, it was stress. You either had to beg someone with a CD, go to a café, or wait for Bluetooth transfer that could take ages. But today, just open YouTube, Spotify, or any music platform, and within a seconds, you have access to millions of songs from across the world. This ease of access has connected cultures, allowed us to enjoy music beyond our borders, and made entertainment something we can all share together.

Technology has also made communication easier. Think about it: years ago, if you wanted to talk to a family member in another state or country, you had to write a letter or make an expensive phone call that cut your pocket. Today, with WhatsApp, Telegram, Zoom, or even a simple video call, you can see and talk to anyone in real-time, no matter where they are. Families who are miles apart can still laugh together. Old friends can reconnect. New friendships are born across borders.

In a short, technology has rampaged the world seriously but in a good way. It has given us connection, convenience, and opportunities that our parents could only dream of. For me, I don’t see technology as something that divides us. I see it as a bridge that connects hearts, cultures, and generations. I really understand that some people use technology in a way that makes them feel isolated. But honestly, the bigger picture shows that technology is doing more to bring us closer. We can now join online communities, attend virtual events, learn new skills, and even share our stories with people we may never meet physically.
