Life and Death

### Hello Hivians and all you beer lovers. As some of you might know, the football season back. In England the EPL kicked off with Liverpool hosting Bournemouth.. It reminded me of a quote from their legendary Scottish manger Bill Shankly... >"Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that." ### Life and Death Classic IPA   So when I went to the shop to look for a beer, there really was only one that jumped out to me ... Yes it was a pack of four wee cans of Life & Death From Vocation Brewery...  I am sucker for their artwork, but to be fair it is a mighty fine drink as well...  I do love skulls in artwork!  You do get some decent foam when you pour it, and it smells so damn good!  Once you taste it that citrus flavour that I love comes through. ### Bold & Beautiful Beer for The Many! As I said it is brewed by [Vocation Brewery](https://www.vocationbrewery.com/collections/craft-beers-ipas) who are based in Yorkshire in the North of England. They do have one heck of a range of craft beers that I am sorely tempted to try some more of! They do have a 48 mixed pack that might be an early Christmas present to me at £77...  Back to our beer and I was having the first one whilst I picked my fantasy football team. Had to keep the football theme going!  It is a wee bit hoppy and man there is that tropical fruits and citrus taste. I know it is not to everyone's taste but I love it. One other thing I love is the alcohol content. Here in the UK you get clobbered in price by the higher ABV ... That is why so many big brewers have dropped content to 3.4% yeah feels like you are drinking water! So a 6.5% like Life & Death is an exception not a norm for a Classic IPA!  ### It goes fluffing well with spicy chicken! The third can was drunk whilst having my dinner of an extra hot Peri Peri chicken! It really went well with the food.  The last can was drunk whilst doing a spot of Hiving on my laptop.  I decided to see what Gemini had to say about the delicious Life & Death Classic IPA ... >Life & Death is a popular American-style IPA from Vocation Brewery in Yorkshire, England. It's known for being a full-bodied, hop-forward beer with prominent flavours of tropical fruit and citrus, finishing with a satisfying piney bitterness.
