TTT The Crypto Markets are Simply Red

 ### Hello hello silver bloggers, music lovers and Hello hivers! Yesterday it seemed we were in full Rektember mode and this prompted the inspiration for today's ttt post! I did write this yesterday at 6am and bought a few Hive at hopefully the dip! So today it seems we are going back up a wee bit... So think of this as looking at yesterday's prices ... *** It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you! *** @ablaze started #ttt **226** weeks ago! There's no better way to describe the current state of the crypto markets yesterday than with the soulful sound of Simply Red. There were a red candles fluffing everywhere and the usual amount of emotional wailing. But if you aren't selling why wail? Anyway this week's #ttt is an ode to the band that perfectly sums up the picture. For those unfamiliar and that will be you kids and maybe our cousins across the pond but **Simply Red** were pretty big back in the day. They are from Manchester in the UK and were formed in 1985 and led by the unmistakable red hair and voice of singer-songwriter Mick Hucknall. They've sold over 50 million albums worldwide while their music has been described as a blend of soulful R&B, pop, and jazz. I found them okay but they were not really in my playlists in the 80s or now... So here are three of their songs that feel especially relevant to anyone watching their portfolio bleed.  ### Tune 1 - Simply Red - Money's Too Tight (To Mention) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNxtFVxsP08 We have to start off with their very first single that was released in May 1985 which instantly became a worldwide hit. It's a cover of a song by The Valentine Brothers, it's a funky, high-energy track about the struggles of living paycheck to paycheck and the feeling that.. well ... "money's too tight to mention." This is so relevant for many that feel this way right now, contemplating that next investment while watching our funds shrink! God it has me thinking back to what our portfolios were like in 2021 at the height of last alt season! **It's the perfect anthem for a bear market.**  ### Tune 2 - Simply Red - Holding Back The Years https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1n_O6DeS1c I still think the last song was their most famous but some people think this ballad is. **Holding Back The Years** was released later in 1985. It's a deeply emotional track that Mick Hucknall wrote when he was just 17 and reflected on his difficult childhood. I like the video as it reminded me of how I looked in my school uniform! In the context of the crypto market, this song speaks to the regret and pain of seeing your assets plummet. We're all "holding back the years" of regret, wishing we had sold at the peak and wondering where it all went wrong. lol as I mentioned I did buy the dip yesterday morning, so it's all good really!  **We finish up with a tune from the 90s and full of Hopium!** ### Tune 3 - Simply Red - Stars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izOdvBmTDh0 **Stars** was the title track from their hugely successful 1991 album called yes you guess it "***Stars***". It's a much more upbeat and hopeful tune, a reminder that things were once brighter. So what do you think? Does it represent the bull market, when our portfolios were "stars"! It was a bittersweet listen yesterday but right now but it's a good reminder that every winter is followed by a spring, and the market will eventually, shine again.  ### So there you have it — my three picks for a very "Simply Red" kind of week.
