### Hello hello silver bloggers, music lovers and Hello hivers!
Inspiration don't you just love it? Well in the last week or at least since my last ttt post I have been inundated with inspiration from fellow Hivers.
I actually take that as a very good sign. You could even call it ***Proof of Life***.
If you ask Mrs T then she will tell you that I am the most stubborn headstrong pedant that ever existed.
My background as a Chemical Engineer and Projects Manager means I do have an eye for detail and a distaste of incompetency and figures being wrong.
I remember getting cost reports where decimal points were wrong, or calculations that had the decimal point wrong. Instead of 20 inch pipes people propose 200 inch pipes. I mean like seriously get to fluff.
Aw yeah but it only a few pence I can hear people say. Aye right what about if that $5000 salary you were waiting on got deposited as $500, you wouldn't be happy would you, but it's only one decimal place.
So here I am wittering on about fluff knows what when I am supposed to be bringing you a post showcasing three cool songs!

There has been a fair bit of discontent among us plebs on Hive in the last few months. I am sure that the low price is going to shake some people away, but I hope the powers that be don't drive people away.
I either walk away or double down when things get rough, so a few months ago I decided this platform is as much mine as it is anybody else's, so no fluffer is getting rid of me. I think that the fact I got so many ideas for bands this week on my Hive engagement means that we are here for the community, the people!
So here were go ... Happy Talk , musicals and the first UK punk single.. Yes we are talking about Captain Sensible and The Damned!

Raymond Ian Burns was born on the 24th of April 1954 and is known by the stage name Captain Sensible. He is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter and co-founded the punk rock band the Damned in 1976.
He originally playing bass before switching to guitar and he is known for his distinctive appearance including a red beret and sunglasses. He also found a political party and is a bit of an animal activist!

We can't talk about Captain Sensible without starting with his biggest solo hit. "Happy Talk" is such an infectious and straight up fluffing daft song.
It reached number one in the UK charts and became a staple of the early '80s. It's a cover of a song from the classic 1949 musical, South Pacific.
Captain Sensible gave it a completely new-wave, quirky feel that was all his own, proving that a punk rocker could have a soft, poppy side.
Ironically my mother loved it, and when I played he music from The Damned punk band should could not believe it haha!

### Tune 2 - The Damned - New Rose

Before the **pop** fame, Captain Sensible was a key member of one of Britain's most influential punk bands **The Damned**.
As their bassist and co-founder he was there at the very start of the punk movement.
**"New Rose" holds a special place in music history as it's widely considered the first ever British punk rock single.**
It's explosive, it's chaotic, and it's a flufing brilliant track that shows off his punk credentials and the raw energy that defined the era.
**We finish up with him being Captain Sensible again**
### Tune 3 - Captain Sensible - Wot!

Following the success of "Happy Talk" he released more solo material and "Wot!" became another hugely popular hit.
It was released in the same year 1982 and is another example of his playful and nonsensical style.
I remember once my mother asking if I had taken up a career in music and was behind the sunglasses and red beret as nutty as I was.
