The Chinese have a belief that their sun and Savior Zas enters the world on the twenty-fourth day of the twelfth month. In this case, the golden rooster, which they say sits on the highest branch of the Tree of Life, does not wait for the dawn, but crows all night in honor of the coming of the spiritual sun. The allegorical meaning of this symbolic rooster is emphasized by the statement that when it starts to crow, "all the roosters in the world wake up from this and begin to crow". The Chinese believe that it is the rooster that is entrusted with the task of waking up the brilliant sun and dispelling darkness, that is, as they believe, driving away the evil spirits of the night. These spirits, according to the Chinese, cannot stand the truth contained in the light of the sun, and are quickly carried away back to the dark hell.
