My day started early when I went to get drinks for the upcoming celebration. I was met with the scene above. An undercover police car (the mini van) a homeless person living in an RV with no license plates and a tow truck.
Now what happened I had no idea but the main extender l entrance and exit to the shopping area was effectively blocked off. Luckily I know the back entrance.
After that? Walk the dog of course. We have to get our steps.
Then kids came over so we had 8 kids in the house. Food, cake and supposed to be hanging out at the basketball court.
Wasnt happy when I went up the basketball court and they weren't there. It seems they wanted to play in the snow pile behind the ice rink. It's actually ICT shavings but still feels and looks like snow. So this is what I saw...
Sorry I can't rotate the photo
Anyways they enjoyed their snow fort although the fact they borrowed paddles and a hammer from my garage without asking as well as taking traffic cones from the parking lot made me grumpy.
But the kids party was over mid afternoon. Then my son has his birthday party. He's 22 so there was a lot bigger people and about 16 people showed up so about 24 people in the house.
Chaos reigned but there was lots of food. Unfortunately I have issues with crowds so...
I took the dog on his evening walk.
When I got back my son took things downstairs and there was lots karaoke and lots of laughing so I'll assume that they had fun.
Overall I did say hello to everyone but stayed just long enough to be polite and not so long that social anxiety would get to me.
Only 5k steps but time with family and friends is more important...
And that's my report for the day.
