If you look at my surroundings it doesn't exactly look like a scary place. I mean what could possibly go wrong.
Answer: A squirrel.
And what is scary about a squirrel? Well, not much really. They are small and furry but really no danger to people. But my dog? He just loves chasing them. I mean he really REALLY loves chasing them. So much so that he almost pulled me off my feet chasing a silly squirrel he saw on this tree here.
Still not very scary. Except. When he pulled me forward it seems that I lurched forward and moved forward at a jog. No big deal there except my phone fell out of my pocket. **And I did not notice. At least not until about 15 minutes later when I was a long way away from where my phone fell out
To make things worse my phone has a case which holds ID and two credit cards. If someone found my phone?
Ugh
Overall though I went back (very quickly) and my phone was right where it was supposed to be. In addition I have a phone tracker app which allows my wife to see where I am. I borrowed her phone and knew exactly where my phone would be. End result.
Just an inconvenience.
As for the rest of the day?
Beautiful morning.
Not too hot. Not too cold. No more rain (last night was just really heavy rain. I didn't have to get up too early because today was a holiday. Overall. Great way to start the day.
In the afternoon it was a lot of driving.
That wasn't much fun. 200km of driving to drop off my sons car for service and to take him to the airport for a trip to Japan. I'm a little scared he'll be a long way from home but also proud that he is very capable of taking care of himself on the trip.
When I came back. Went for a walk with my wife, a friend, and homestay student. All good although... (A) Nico decided to lunge at another dog. That sucked. I had him on a short leash so he didn't get very far but still scared a pedestrian.
On the narrow boardwalk it is hard to avoid other dogs though. No way to give them a wide berth.
I also was a little sad when I saw this.
There are apple and other fruit trees in the park. Perfectly good fruit but no one picks it so it just falls to the ground and rots.
What a shame.
Other than that? Not much to report. Just got my 10K steps which was nice and had to take a picture when I saw the sun peeking through the trees because I thought it was pretty.
....and that's pretty much it for today.
